World 2007 Diane Tucker arrived in Ho Chi Minh City Friday to award Vietnam the hosting rights to Mrs. World 2009.

Accompanied by the President of Mrs. America Inc. & Mrs. World Inc. David Z. Marmel, Tucker visited tourist sites in the city and charity centers in Cu Chi District.

Dr. Doan Kim Hong, president of the event’s local partner Advertising & Trade Fair Joint Stock Co. (CIAT), said Mrs. World 2008 Natalya Shmarenkova and this year’s first runner-up Mrs. Singapore Colleen Francisca-Mason would also attend the hosting-rights ceremony at the Rex Hotel next Tuesday.

The 2009 pageant will be held in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau this November.

Miss Vietnam 1990 Nguyen Dieu Hoa was named the fourth runner-up at this year’s pageant held last month in Kaliningrad, Russia.
